This filter features five layers of pre-oiled cotton gauze media to provide maximum performance. Its progressive layering allows the filter to flow at high levels even when dirty. This media is perfect for street and/or track use. Pro 5R filters are easily recharged with aFe POWER CLEANER and blue air filter oil. aFe POWER performance air filters use a rounded, evenly spaced pleat design which allows for more usable filter surface area, providing increased flow and greater dust holding capacity. This aFe POWER performance air filter is constructed with a polyurethane base and top. Unlike other materials that degrade after repeated heat cycles in an engine bay, polyurethane maintains its original molded shape.

An enclosed air box design helps protect the filter and inlet air from the heat of the engine bay, and the air box lid allows for quick and easy access to the filter without tools. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine, and provides a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. These systems are paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design of the filter allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. Vibrant Performance Aramid Reinforced Silicone Couplers are hand wrapped and feature 4-ply reinforcement, which allows our couplers to be capable of withstanding extreme temperatures and heavy duty pressure conditions without swelling or bursting.
