With the growing popularity of the Australian converted Dodge Ram 1500, ARB's engineers have designed and developed a Summit Winch Bumper to suit. Due to the size of the vehicle and its ability to tow up to 4.5 Tons (subject to vehicle specification) the Ram Summit Bumper has been designed to suit 12,000lb winches. Inspired by the classic ARB Wrangler JK Stubby Bumper, the newly developed ARB Wrangler JL Stubby Bumper is designed for the off-roader who is in need of a winch mounting platform while maintaining maximum clearance for larger diameter tires. Generally vehicles that run larger than 37 inch tires may rub the wings of a traditional style ARB Deluxe Bumper. The Stubby Bumper eliminates this issue on the Jeep Wrangler JL as it is only a little wider than the vehicles chassis. For recovery situations each wing section features jacking points suitable for an ARB JACK or mechanical recovery jack. Antenna tabs on main tube can be used for fitment of communication antennas or driving lights to the bumper. Central on each outer wing section are 0.8 thick 350 grade recovery points which tie through the wings and into the chassis mounts directly giving the strongest possible recovery point. The winch platform will allow the mounting of most traditional low mount style Warn winches and narrow mount pattern competition type winches. A bracket is provided for those who wish to run their control box in the center of the bumper. Two front ?flip up style license plate mounts are provided. One to suit roller fairleads and one for the hawse type fairlead. Inspired by the classic ARB Wrangler JK Deluxe bumper is the newly developed Wrangler JL Deluxe bumper designed to provide maximum full width protection while remaining practical and stylish. Outer wings have been designed specifically to suit both Rubicon and non-Rubicon factory flares and are able to clear up to a 37 tire. Included with the bumper are brackets for retention of both factory halogen or LED fog lights to help maintain a clean OE look. When the need for recovery is arises, the JL Deluxe bumper is ready and full of features. Incorporated is a winch mount platform that will allow the mounting of most low mount style Warn winches up to 10,000 lb. Welded 0.8 recovery points included for snatch or winch double line recovery pulls. Jack points are also included in the center pan section and are designed to safely lift the JL using the ARB JACK or a mechanical recovery jack. With various engine and model variations within the vehicle model line-up, ARBs engineers scanned different configurations of models within the WK2 Grand Cherokee range to ensure the bumpers fitment to all models 2014 to 2016. The test program for the WK2 bar development included articulation tests to ensure proper bar clearance, rough surface driving, winch load testing, Hi-Lift jack point testing and both low speed suburban and freeway driving. For winch fitment, the 3540050 Winch Install kit is required. This includes a folding license plate bracket, longer power cables and all fasteners required to fit a Warn winch to the bar.
